The most sophisticated people I know - inside they are all children.

It's Autumn…

a mysterious character wanders their way through a pumpkin patch.

This short film was created by two brothers Dino and Mark Crisanti. This stop motion film was mostly made from found objects and took three months to shoot in a small studio near Chicago.

This is a mix…

of new and old stop motion I've done over the years.

Some of my early work (for example the Hamburger Helper spots), I did the lighting, motion control and was an animation assistant. There are some short scenes of a recently completed film which will be entered in several animation festivals in the near future.

beating Leukemia

In March of 2023, I was diagnosed with Leukemia (AML).

When I started my Chemo therapy I was stuck in the hospital for 15 days. I struggled to come to terms with having cancer. I decided to make a film as a way of dealing with my disease. I wanted to battle cancer and boredom by making this stop motion film. Once I was done with the first part of my treatment I decided I'd like to shoot the film in the hospital while getting my bone marrow transplant. So I fabricated the puppets using many medical supplies used to treat me. I packed up my equipment and was able to shoot most of the film in my room. I was hooked up to pumps receiving many medications that made it difficult to have the energy and drive to complete the task. However I was able to shoot a good part of it and finished the film once I returned home for the second time.

I want to thank the nursing staff at Loyola hospital for being so accommodating while I moved furniture around and set up lights during the production.
